This phishing scam is part of the family of credential harvesting (fake login page) scams. It targeted students after a fellow student's account was compromised. Any time a login page is displayed unexpectedly, verify it is legitimate before entering your username and password. If you entered your username and password on the fake login page, change your password ASAP.
